Valentines Day

Valentine's Day, also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14. It originated as a Christian feast day honoring a martyr named Valentine.  Valentine's Day is typically associated with romantic love, but it can also be a great opportunity to celebrate love and affection with family. One year, my family and I decided to do something special for Valentine's Day. We started the day by making a big breakfast together. We all pitched in to cook eggs, bacon, pancakes, and fresh fruit. We sat down at the table and enjoyed a leisurely meal together, talking and laughing as we ate. After breakfast, we decided to do something fun as a family. We brainstormed a few ideas, but ultimately settled on going to a nearby park for a picnic. We packed a basket full of sandwiches, chips, and cookies, and brought along a frisbee and a football to play with. As the day went on, we decided to do a few other activities together. We went

One Town, One Product. Kannawidan Festival!

 Kannawidan: In tagalog means 'nakaugalian', means tradition. A festival created to showcase the province' rich culture in different fields like arts, agriculture, dance and music, food and also province based products also known as OTOP (One Town One Product). A series of events will be held as we are expecting it to be grandier than before since it is a bicetennial celebration. Since it is an event focusing on the Ilocano Traditions most events will be about it's rich culture but also in other aspects. There would be the traditional games, yearly excellence awards in terms of service and education, different art and food contest, carnivals, pageants, variety shows, education day celebration and not to forget the booths where all the province' OTOP are being displayed and sold to visitors and tourist. Viva Vigan! Longanisa Festival!

       Vigan is home to different festivals, and the Longganisa Festival is the kick off of these cultural celebrations in the city. As it jumpstarts other celebrations in the region, the city government of Vigan usually makes sure that the locals and tourists will experience nothing but the best. The Longganisa Festival is held every 22nd day of January, the commemoration of the cityhood anniversary and the Vigan City Fiesta is on January 25th, the feast day of St. Paul, our Patron St. These double celebration revolved on the thanksgiving for all the gains that the city have reaped over the past years.     The city of Vigan are already celebrating the Longganisa Festival for nearly a decade. It actually became a traditional cultural festival that are being celebrated by the Biguenos on every 25th month of January.
